I’m trying to add a seperate text element below an image for easier flexibility. I noticed when the caption for an image is below a photo, if i try to align the text under the center of the image it moves the image with it. I cannot figure out how to just add a text box to fix the issue. Please help!

    Hello Kahla,

Captions are generally part of an image.  For example, if you add an image, and then edit it using the page/post editor you’ll see an option for the caption.  This is generally because the internet then knows that the caption belongs to the image.  This also goes for the alt text, in case the image can’t be shown.

Blocks are arranged per the grid used to format the page.  BoldGrid uses a bootstrap grid system, so if you’re adding a block with an image, then the next block will need to be within that column where you’re placing the image.  So, for example, if you create an image that spans the page, then the block requires that the text block would need to span the page width as well. Only then can you center the text. If you can provide more information about your exact steps, then we can help to show you how you can center text that is not going to be part of the actual image itself.  Please provide more information on theme you’re using as well.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

    Kindest regards,

    Arnel C.
