I used custom css on my active theme. I want to have a copy as a staging site. Do I have to rebuild from a basic theme, or can I make a copy to staging?

    Hello Vera,

Thank you for contacting us about Staging a copy of your site. Yes, you can copy your pages and content to a staged site. This is covered in our full guide on how to copy content to your staging site.

    Thank you,

    John-Paul

Sure.  That I know.  What I want to know how to copy is all of the changes I made to the original template.  Colors, image changes (taking out the template ones), custom css, font changes, etc.  SO far I am forced to redo all of that one piece at a time.

So let’s try this another way.  I spent a great deal of modifying a theme.  How do I make a copy of it – the modified theme -menus, colors, fonts, custom css, etc.  to the staging site?  In essence, I want to clone the active site and set it up as a staging site.

The other option is to copy changes from within the wp_option table in the database. They’re separated by theme/inspiration: theme_mods_boldgrid-[theme] or _boldgrid_staging_theme_mods_boldgrid-[theme].

    We apologize for any inconvenience.
