Hi! I managed to insert an additional language menu at the top right of my homepage and linked the alternative language to a page that I created manually, replicating the content of my homepage translated into the alternative language. What I wish now is to be able to see the primary menu (who we are, contact us, etc.) in the alternative language that will lead to the translated pages I am creating. So, the top right of my homepage now offers ENG and SPA languages, when I click on SPA, I see the “SPA homepage” I created from a blank page. How can I add a SPA menu similar to the main menu that displays as part of the master file?

Thank you for contacting us about creating separate language pages. You can create menus in the Customizer to match the main page. Also, here is a helpful link to the official WordPress Multilingual documentation, it provides additional tips, pros, and cons on setting up your site.

Hi, thanks. I am afraid that I did not explain myself well (I read already the “creating menus in the Customizer” docs. and didn’t help): What I wish to know is how to create 2 separate “primary” menus. With the Customizer I have created a primary menu in English (who we are, contact us, etc.) which is automatically displayed at the top of each one of the English pages.
I have also created the same pages translated into an the alternative language.
Basically, what I need to know is how to insert a primary menu on the page that serves as homepage for the second language.
Also, I tried to create drop down menus in a secondary menu that is NOT the primary menu with the Customizer and it did not work: although it shows indented to the right when I order the menu, on the website the title of the page that I add is displayed next to the parent page (at the same level) and not in a drop down menu.

Unfortunately, this is outside the functionality of BoldGrid. However, you can take advantage of the scalability of WordPress and utilize a plugin to handle an alternative language site.
Our developers are always looking for ways to improve BoldGrid for our users. You may also submit a feature request through BoldGrid Central to provide insight on your experience and needs when using BoldGrid.

what if I purchase the same domain but adding es. for example for Spanish at the beginning, and create another website that looks the same and link each page of the Eng site to the Spa site??

Unfortunately, you’d need to use our BoldGrid developer documentation, WordPress documentation as JohnPaul mentioned, and/or a plugin like Carlos mentioned.
