Can you explain further about what you mean by visual section? Do you mean you're seeing HTML text instead of the visually rendered page?

It looks like the home page utilizes the whole browser window. Do you mean 3/4 left and right or up and down? Which specific page is having the problem? You mentioned the home page as having the problem but then refer to "pages" plurally. Does this mean multiple pages are having the issue? Any clarification you can provide would be terrific.

If you are trying to both decrease the width of the header and inhibit the appearance of the hamburger menu, that will require some deeper intervention beyond the scope of this community support area.

Whether or not that can be achieved with CSS alone and without creating a page template in a child theme I can't say for sure. We're only equipped to help with the BoldGrid tools available in the program itself. To that end, I hope you would consider submitting a feature request for a control that can adjust the sizes of elements in the header/footer areas if you think such a feature would be valuable.

But in the meantime, I think you will get the best outcome possible by contacting a developer/designer proficient in the WordPress theme framework to add your requested changes into a child theme.

Do you mean the background image or home page? If the background image, it does seem to be filling up the screen from the left margin all the way to the right. The home page itself by default uses the whole screen. If you can clarify further on the specifics perhaps we can better understand what you're seeing.

Since this is an obscure error that may be unique to your hosting environment, I'd suggest submitting a support request through BoldGrid Central > Manage My Account > Support Request.

This is normal. The BoldGrid Inspirations plugin "reorders" some of the available items in the WordPress Dashboard. However, this behavior can be changed under Settings > BoldGrid Inspirations > Reorder Admin Menu. This way, you can use BoldGrid Inspirations with the normal Dashboard appearance.

Just to clarify to make sure we're on the same page, when you say you signed up through WordPress are you saying that you installed the BoldGrid plugin through the WordPress Dashboard plugin area? Or, are you saying you went through a formal sign-up process?

To answer your question, no you are not required to purchase a premium key. You can request a free key to unlock the base feature set. If you did not receive key after requesting one, I'd advise checking your spam folders to make sure the message was not classified as junk. Once a key has been added the pop-up will cease to show up in WordPress and you may continue to use BoldGrid as intended.

If you received this error during the installation it was likely a glitch and repeating the installation process will correct it. If that's not the case, and the error is replicable, there may be a conflict with another plugin. In which case, a systematic plugin review may be in order.

We'd be happy to help out if possible, but I'm not sure what you mean specifically by a misalignment in the menu. If you could clarify the issue specifically so we might replicate it we might be able to recommend a solution. I visited the link you sent and it looks like the menu is aligned properly.

If not, it may be best for you to contact a professional web designer so they could provide you a specific solution for your needs. We're only equipped to provide support for the BoldGrid tools themselves.

Yes, the menu can be moved to beneath or on top of the header in Customizer > Menus > primary. You can select a different menu location there. If you choose to go the CSS route, I'd recommend using the developer tools in your browser to make sure you're targeting the correct CSS elements. You can try out different CSS code snippets in the Customizer under the Advanced section (this is also the safest place to do so).
