Working with Menus in BoldGrid Crio | BoldGrid

With BoldGrid Crio you can easily create and modify menus from the Customizer. It comes with 5 unique menu locations you can use in your design: Main Menu, Secondary Menu, Tertiary Menu, Quaternary Menu, and Social Icons. By default, the Main Menu appears in the Header while the Social Menu appears in the Footer.

Create Menus

  • In the Dashboard navigate to AppearanceCustomize
  • In the Customizer menu navigate to Menus
  • Click Create New Menu
  • Enter your new Menu name
  • Select the Location this menu will be displayed in
  • Click Next to begin adding Menu Items

How to Add Menu Items

  • Click Add Items
  • Choose the type of menu item you want to add by selecting it
  • Click the Item to add it to the Menu
  • Click Publish to save your changes

Assigning Locations to Menus

  • In the Customizer menu navigate to Menus
  • Scroll down to Menu Locations and click View All Locations

From here you can see all the menu locations in use and where your menus are currently assigned. Click on the drop-down arrow to select a different menu or click on the new menu link to create a new menu for that location.

Note: If you need more menu locations, please add them to the header or footer layout first.

Remove Menus from a Location

  • Click on the drop-down arrow
  • Set the Menu to the “– Select –” option
  • Click Publish to save your changes

Working with Menu Fonts

Your BoldGrid Crio menu fonts can be changed in the menu design section. Each Menu Location can have a unique font.

  • In the Dashboard navigate to AppearanceCustomize
  • In the Customizer menu navigate to Design → Menus → Menu Location → Font

You will then see a section labeled Typography. You will be able to select the font family, font variant, font size, line height, letter spacing and text transform while also being able to see your changes in the Customizer live preview.

  • Click Publish to save your changes
