    • Hello Robert,
The WordPress application is free and allows you to use plugins. You should not have to pay to use it, but may have to pay for hosting. Are you working with a site built on by chance? That is different as it is hosted only on their servers and does not allow additional plugins to be installed.

WordPress from is free and is designed to be used on independent hosting platforms. This application will allow you to use plugins.

BoldGrid is simply a set of plugins for use on this type of WordPress platform. BoldGrid is not a stand-alone application and must be added to WordPress to function.

      Kindest Regards,

      • A mouse-over on the plugins does not display any pop-up menu as the instructions list above. There are other menu items that have the pop-up action; however, nothing comes up for the plugins menu item. (I know that I am in the correct spot as I am on the wp-admin site.)

        • Stevan, if you’re not seeing behavior as shown in the images above you may have a non-default setup, but more likely is that your WordPress may be out-of-date. Either way, you should be able to click on the plugins menu link and access the sub-features from there. The final possibility is that your site may be having an error of some kind. If so, you will need to contact your web hosting support directly for more information about what is wrong.
