Creating custom forms in WordPress is an easy and quick process with WPForms. In our getting started with WPForms article, we noted that older versions of BoldGrid still support Ninja Forms, but if you’d like to use WPForms instead, all you need to do is reinstall the BoldGrid plugin. You can download that from the BoldGrid website.

In this article, we will cover how you can create a custom form with WPForms. WPForms comes with a variety of available forms that you can choose from, but you have the option of creating a custom form specific to your needs.

How to Create a Custom Form

We will be using the WPForms interface to create our form. You will be redirected automatically. For your convenience, WPForms includes some templates to start you off quickly. For this guide, we will be using a blank form instead of a WPForms template.

  1. Under WPForms click Add NewClick Add New
  2. Enter a Form NameEnter form name
  3. Under Select a Template, click Blank FormSelect a blank form template
  4. Choose a field under Standard FieldsSelect fields
  5. Click Save

You may select additional fields as well. However, a submit button will be included by default. Once you’re done, click on Save to save your new custom form.
