Hello! I am having trouble getting the background image to size so it fills the screen on mobile. Currently, it is leaving a large white space underneath when scrolling on mobile. Also on the desktop version the background is fixed and allows the page to scroll over the image, it does not do this on mobile. Can this be fixed? I would assume the fixing the second issue could resolve the first. Thank you!!

    Hi Heather-

Thanks for reaching out, and thanks for using the BoldGrid WordPress website builder.

There are three main places where the white space is coming from.

First, inside your call-to-action widget itself, there are five paragraphs with only a space character in them. Each one of those is about 34 pixels tall, so that’s about 170 pixels above your call-to-action button.

Then, below the button, there are 200 more pixels of margin that are pushing the content further down.

Finally, at the very top of your home page content, there’s a row that also has nothing but a blank paragraph in it.

Since your home page doesn’t actually have any content in it, probably the easiest way to fix this is to actually move the call-to-action and button into the page content. That should give you an appearance similar to this:

Great! Thank you Jesse! I can try that change. Is there a reason the background picture doesn’t stay fixed as the page is scrolling on mobile? It’s fine on the desktop.

    Hi Heather!

I took a look at the mobile version of your page an noticed some very familiar Custom CSS there that is used to fix background image resizing issues typically associated with iOS devices. It looks like whoever was previously working on your website found that article and added the fix to correct some image problems on iPhones.

Fortunately our development team is working on implementing an improved fix for this particular problem in an upcoming update for our Crio theme. Once the update is released you will be able to remove that custom code and you background image will remain fixed as expected.

I hope that this helps explain what is going on with your background image and please let us know if there is anything else that we can do to help!

Thank you that’s great! Where can I follow up on that update release to fix that issue?

    Hi Heather-

We’re holding off on the release of Crio until the next version of WordPress (5.8) is in a stable state so we can ensure that the everything is working correctly. We’re expecting WordPress 5.8 to be released on July 20, so the Crio release will be a few days before that.

I’ll also update this thread when we’ve released it as well.
