Eventually I will write those articles for the main site.

I feel like I’m probably not the first person who is procrastinating about getting the main site up and running. And in the meantime I have had ideas for smaller blogs of a single topic that still relate to my overall idea, but are very specific content.

I keep them in sub-domains because it makes me feel like they are a finite project, and I don’t get the vertigo I feel when thinking about launching my main site.

Right now I have a journaling sub-domain where I just post thoughts and musings to show some of my clients how much good stuff you can get from freewriting. It doesn’t need to be part of the main blog. It’s not articles, it’s just rambling. So I put it at ramble.noahwizard.com and my main site feels protected from this side project.

I’m about to launch another side blog. This one is about imagining the technology trends of the future. But not based on the trends, but based on surprises. It’s to show people how the future will not be a slow gradation of the things we’ve come to know and trust, but full of unexpected things that we cannot predict. Henry Ford didn’t make faster horses. That’s the idea.

So I want it to go into future.noahwizard.com

It’s a small little blog. It’s mostly for clients to help them get out of the thinking of just continuing with what they have.

I love boldgrid. I ended up using it on my first sub-blog.

Now when I say clients, I mean prospective clients. Nobody pays me yet. My work is experimental and new, and I have to hold their hands for a while before they get out their wallets. Once they do, I’ll be buying the full BoldGrid service that lets me use my key for multiple sites.

But when I was making the subdomain the first time, there was an option for running multisite wordpress or something. Where I have multiple wordpress installs, but I treat them like one big blog. Is that something that would allow me to use my one BoldGrid key and still have multiple subdomains? Each with their wordpress install?

Thank You, you’ve been patient by reading through all this.

    Hello.

Thanks for posting your question regarding using your Free Connect Key in a Multi-Site WordPress environment. BoldGrid is designed around the single WordPress installation. Although it is possible to run BoldGrid using a MS WordPress installation, it is not coded/designed for this functionality. I would not recommend this, however, once you purchase or obtain a Premium BoldGrid Connect Key, then you may use that Key for any installation of WordPress during the initial setup of BoldGrid–regardless of where it is hosted. Your clients should not need that Connect Key once it’s been entered. I hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Carlos
