Currently there is no way aside from MySQL table workarounds to prevent staging from overwriting tables & MySQL data on the main branch. Adding a way to “exclude” certain tables would be fantastic 🙂

I’m sure there’s much more that could be toggled if you want to not have it pushed to live, but I know this would be a great addition.

Had a cx run into this problem today with no in house solution, he would have lost new posts made to his site if he pushed to live from gravity forms table “gf_entry”

    Hi Jake,

Thank you for reaching out. If you’re using Total Upkeep then you would have the option to toggle custom files and database tables on or off for backups archives.

You’d just need to choose the “Custom Backup” option from the drop-down provided when creating a new site backup and you’ll have the option to select specific files and folders, as well as database tables to incorporate into your site transfers.

    I hope this helps.
