Hi, I’m using BoldGrid through my host service and am using the stock audio player. The player has an icon with a music notes. I wanted to ask how I can edit that icon to be something else. Thanks

    Hi Gary,

Thanks for reaching out with your BoldGrid Post and Page Builder questions!

At this time there’s no easy way to add an icon to the native audio player without digging into code. You could possibly change it with and hook that would select the original icon and replace it with your new one but you may need to consult with your developer for that.

What I can do is suggest this feature to our dev team as a feature request and if accepted it will be implemented into Post and Page Builder in an upcoming update. Of course you can check back here at anytime for updates on the matter.

    Thanks Gary!

    Thanks Brandon,

I have the audio player on my home page but when I go into the code on my home page I don’t find the code for the player. I know some code. If I knew where the code for the player is I could work with it. Anyway you could point me to that place?

    Thanks Gary,

I was able to inspect the page and that particular icon can actually be changed from your WordPress “Media” dashboard on a “file by file” basis.

You would need to select the audio file and update its featured image and that should be enough to change the icon.

If you would like to change it globally you would need to find and replace this file within your WordPress file structure /wp-includes/images/media/audio.png.

    I hope this helps Gary!
