On the default 404 page, it shows a search function and also recent posts.

I wondered if there was a way to disable these features, as I don’t want some pages to be shown.

For the recent posts, I could find the PHP file (FTP) and turn it off, but it will turn on again when the theme updates (crio). I wasn’t able to find the file for the search function.

It would be great if there were an option to turn it off or a code to have it off automatically.

    Thank you

    Hi Hamad,

You are correct to find the 404.php file and modify the code there but as you stated when the theme updates you’ll lose those modifications.

What you can do instead is place your code into a Code Snippets plugin or create a child theme that will and add the 404 page there.

    I hope this helps!
