I am new to all this, so codes and such I am not familiar with. I have downloaded the Artificer theme for woocommerce. This has pretty much rid my wordpress of all boldgrid help that I was offered before.

Before I could edit where my logo went easily with the customizer. Now I do not have that option. So now my only option seems to be the code. I have no idea how to change it or what do change exactly to get my logo in my header to be centered.

Could anyone offer some guidance on what to do and how to do it?

I tried looking online for simple code changes. In the css it had logo aligned to the left. I changed it to center and such. Tried copying and pasting simple codes  for the logo, but nothing changed AT ALL. I don’t know if I’m not entering it in the right place or if I have to change more than the code on the logo to get it to work.

    Please help!

    Hello,

We are always happy to support any BoldGrid users, but using a non-BoldGrid theme would surely limit the scope of our knowledge. Nevertheless, thanks for getting in touch with us regarding difficulties with the Artificer theme. As you are surely aware, using a different theme changes the Customizer options. This explains the non-appearance of certain parameters.

The ability to edit your logo in the BoldGrid style would change if you load in a different theme. The style options for the logo in the BoldGrid themes will not be available unless the theme you’re using has similar style parameters.

For the Artificer theme, you would do best following results from the WordPress codex. They have detailed information the structure to which all WordPress themes are bound. From there, you can either make a child theme of Artificer, or edit the files directly (not recommended).

BoldGrid simplifies the process of theme design for users who may not be as comfortable editing the source code directly. However, BoldGrid has a special area in the Customizer to add code in a safe, testing environment. If you have a BoldGrid theme active, go to Customizer > Advanced > Custom JS & CSS. There, you can experiment with CSS code to get different looks.

If you are unsure of which CSS elements to edit, in major browsers like Firefox and Chrome, you can right click on an element on the page and “Inspect” that element. This will show you the page code, and you can know which CSS element is affecting the page.

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Best,

    Christopher M.
