Hi,  Is there a way to set tabs in Boldgrid?

I don’t mean  the sort of setup that the plugins have.  Those plugins create little tabs that you can click on, like folders.

I’m looking for a way to set tabs like on an old-fashioned typewriter, where i can set tabs and press on the tab button on my keyboard.

Or, am I too old for anyone to know what I’m talking about ? 🙂

    Thanks,

    -joe

    Hello Joe,

Thank you for your question on setting Tabs in the BoldGrid editor. I remember typing class well, with old manual typewriters and tab-setting. Unfortunately the Tab key in the BoldGrid editor simply changes the focus on the window to the next item. There is not currently a way to change that behavior.

    Kindest Regards,

Thanks for the response Scott 🙂

I have found a way to work around this.

Create your document with columns in LibreOffice/OpenOffice.

File>Export…>Save as XHTML, which will save it as HTML/XHTML.

Open the document in a text editor, not  LibreOffice/OpenOffice, Abiword, but an actual text editor like Leafpad.

    Copy the html.

Go to your Boldgrid document and paste the html.

It would be faster and more convenient to just do it directly in BG.  But, at least there is a way around this.

    Thanks again,

    -joe 🙂
