    Hello howard57bg,

Thank you for your question on adding sidebars to your BoldGrid front page. I am not aware of any BoldGrid theme that has a sidebar on the front page by default. This means you would need to turn to a plugin in order to add one. If, as you say, the plugin does not work with the BoldGrid themes, then you may of course use another WordPress theme.
With the new theme, the Customizer may be different as it is governed by the them, but the BoldGrid editor still works with pages and posts.

    Kindest Regards,

I would like to add a side bar to my home page.  I’m using the Wedge template. I used the default template and added the plugin Custom Sidebars to add the side bar to the page.  I had to replace the BoldGrid Customize menu with the WP Appearance menu so I could get to the widgets area.  I am still unable to add the custom side bar I desire.  The documentation from Custom Sidebars says it might be my template.  Is there a way to add side bars to the Wedge template?  Do you have a template that includes side bars? If I can’t get a BoldGrid template, can I use another WP or 3rd party template with BoldGrid?
