I read your blog post on shortcodes, which doesn’t help me at all. I understand your resistance, but as a stumbling idiot trying to build my website, I cannot afford to spend ANOTHER eight hours trying to figure out how to make something happen when there is a plugin for it that I cannot add to my site because BoldGrid doesn’t like it.

Can you please tell me how to add a shortcode to my site?

Hi Rosie-

Adding a shortcode to a post or page should “just work” by pasting the shortcode into your content, e.g. [weforms id="85"] .

Which plugin’s shortcode are you having trouble with? Can you paste an example of the shortcode you’re trying to use, and what works or doesn’t work when you add it?
