I was surprised to find that my new BoldGrid site-title is an h1 and my blog post titles (entry-title) are h2. I found some other sites that are using the same framework and theme and some have site titles that are site-title and blog posts titles are h1 so it doesn’t seem to be the case in every instance. Is this intended/expected behaviour? With H2 for post-titles, any sub-headings in my posts are h3 and so on and I’m missing out on the value of the h1 at the top of the new content.
I’d appreciate any insight, thanks
I inspected your website and I see that you’re displaying your most recent Blog Post on your homepage. What you can do is go into your WordPress customizer and change the global setting to display “Blog Page” and Post List titles in the format of your choice.
From your WordPress dashboard visit: Appearance > Customize > Design & Blog and from here you’ll have the option to choose either a single Blog Page or Posts List display and change the title font from the Title(s) section.
I hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions for us.
Hi Brandon – I believe your instructions would only change the appearance of the titles, but not the tags. Am I understanding correctly? I’m not trying to change the styling, I’m looking to understand why the tags are off by one and correct them if I can for improved SEO. Thanks
