I want to be able to format the captions on my photos, but the only way to do that seems to be to use CAPTION TYPES. I don’t know what they do, without going in and selecting each one to see what it does.
You recommend using “p,” but then the caption appears above the photo, even with SHOW ON IMAGE selected. The only one I could get to appear on the photo was “h2,” but the formatting is wrong, so it leaves words hanging by themselves.
Thanks for the question about the Photo caption types. By default, the caption can only use the Paragraph (P) or Heading (H1-4) for formatting purposes. If you still want to change it beyond that you would need to make custom CSS changes to your BoldGrid site. You can use our article on customizing CSS using the Chrome Browser. Hi, That’s not quite the answer to my question. Why does only “h2” print on the photo? None of the other “h” options show on image, as selected. Also, I’m not a web designer, I am a web designer out of desperation. How do I learn how these different caption types are best used? And if they perform by default, why can’t they track so you don’t leave words hanging oddly? Or give an indication about the size of the caption?
