I am working in the Westview theme. I want to omit the Navigation bar (I will make my own buttons as links to other pages), and instead have the page title to the right of my icon. But I can’t figure out how to move the page title up level with and to the right of the icon.
Is there a way to do this?

Barring that, I can leave the “Display page title” field unticked for each page, and make a page title in its own section for each page that needs it. But will leaving the “official” page title text undisplayed affect search engines results when they trawl? Or will a search engine find and recognize the page title regardless of whether it displays to visitors? Or will the page title I create be just as effective for SEO purposes?

    Hello,

Unfortunately at this time there isn’t a way to pull the page title up into the header. Leaving the “Display page title” unchecked is fine as long as you add one h1 heading to the page. The h1 is what search engines look for on each page, and each page should only have one. It makes no difference if you add it yourself or use the core WordPress page title.

If you’d like more information on SEO and headings, we have this article to help: https://www.boldgrid.com/support/boldgrid-easy-seo-plugin-product-guide/introduction-to-seo-content-and-structure/

    Thanks,

Thanks, Nicole! That was very helpful.
Now I know not to spin my wheels trying to do something that can’t be done, AND I know exactly what I needed to know about headers vis-a-vis SEO.
