I have selected pictures and replaced the stock photos in my gallery blocks. When I select a photo, I then crop it, to be consistent with the size of the photo it is replacing. After I am done, some of the photos appear as a different size. Why is it not making all of the photos the same size, and how can I ensure that all of the photos will be the right size? It appears to be the right size while I am editing, but when I view the site, they have changed sizes.

    Hi Debbie,

Thanks for posting your question regarding the size of your photos as they appear in your Gallery Block. I’m sorry to see that you are experiencing troubles getting them to be consistent. I was unable to find an issue with adding an image of the same size to the gallery as the image I removed to “replace” it’s place in the Gallery. If you are replacing them by some other method, can you please elaborate on the steps you are taking to replicate the issue you are seeing? In addition to that, if you can provide the version of WordPress and all the BoldGrid plugins you are using, this will help to better diagnose the issue. I look forward to your response to assist you further.

    Sincerely,

    Carlos E

I am having this issue with the Grid One theme, WordPress 4.9.1, and BoldGrid on inMotion hosting. Most of the photos seem to size correctly, automatically. They look right when I am editing the page, but not when I view the actual page. I replace the photos in the editing page, select the photo, choose the change image icon, select the image, crop, and complete the change. Some pictures come out right, some too small, and some too large. Do I need to size the photos prior to uploading them?

I can do that, but if the images need to be right-sized, then why is there a crop feature?

I re-sized my pictures, deleted the old block, inserted a new block, changed the pictures to the right-sized images, and now the new block has larger images than an older, identical block. The page looks great in the Add Blocks window, but not in the editing window or on the actual site. I took pictures, but can’t seem to insert them here.

The crop feature is there so you can crop the pictures down to whatever size you want if the original image is larger than the size you are using. Are you getting an error when trying to insert the images?
