    Hello,
The woocommerce buy now button is only a sliver and not really usable. I tested the site with other themes and this issue did not occur. Woocommerce support acknowledged that the theme was probably the issue. Can you please help me fix this theme? Thanks

    Hello Patrick,

Thanks for reaching out and thanks for using the Westview theme with BoldGrid Post and Page Builder for WordPress!

Westview is considered one of our legacy themes, and with that being the case, it no longer receives the updates that would keep it current with WooCommerce’s most recent styling standards. We can more than likely provide you with some CSS that will fix this issue for you. Could you direct us to a page where the tiny “Buy Now” button is present? We can look into it more directly and provide you with our best suggestions on how to go about correcting this.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thank you Brandon for the info. Some custom css to fix the issue would be most appreciated. Eventually I will have to find a new up-to-date theme. Here is the site. https://www.carbontreecustom.com/product/led-neon-curling-stone/

    Hi Patrick,

I apologize we must have missed your last response somehow. I just inspected the URL that you sent and I still do not see the tiny “buy now” button as described. I’ve checked in desktop as well as mobile browsers and all I see is a normal sized “Add to Cart” button. Have you already resolved this issue or is there a different page that you would like for us to inspect?

If you’re looking to upgrade themes in the future you should consider Crio Pro WordPress theme! Crio is our flagship WordPress theme and it comes out of the box with over 400 customizable controls and feature options. It also ensures 100% compatibility with BoldGrid Post and Page Builder for WordPress so swapping out your content is simple and easy.

Again we do apologize for missing your last response and hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks for the reply. I dont think I can attach a screenshot but the problem is that the button is there but you can’t see it if you don’t know what to look for. You should see a VERY thin button to the left of the ‘OR’ before the add to cart button. Does that make sense?

    Thanks Patrick,

I see now where the payment button should be located, but when I inspect the page there doesn’t seem to be any code associated with the it at all. It seems there should be a “Stripe” Payments element there but there’s nothing showing in your source code.

When did you notice this issue? Was it perhaps after an update to your WordPress core, Post and Page Builder or WooCommerce? I suspect there’s something clashing with the element and causing it not to display.

I can’t say for sure but I think the issue was from the start when I installed the woocommerce plugin and created the store page. Is there a way I can send you a screenshot? I believe I do see the button code when I inspect the source. How can I send that to you? It sounds like you do not see the button at all. However, On my browser (chrome) I do see the button and it is clickable but only a few pixels wide.
    Thanks for your help

    Thanks for your reply Patrick,

You can send a us a screenshot using ImgBB. I don’t see the button when I inspect the source code in “Chrome but that doesn’t mean it isn’t there. We just need to located and find the best way to expand the button.

If we can’t determine what’s going on by inspecting and replicating your issue. We’ll have you reach out to Premium Support for additional assistance. That way you can give us permission to log into your website and address the problem directly. You get Premium Support free of charge because you’re a DreamHost customer.

I hope this helps. Please reach back out if you have any other questions for us.

Here is a link to the screenshot. I don’t know much about the code but it appears that it is there. I cleared cookies as well as looked at the page logged in and out. Results were the same Let me know if I can provide anything else.
    Thanks for your help

    Thanks Patrick!

I do see your payment buttons here. Along with some additional configuration information. Your Add to Cart, PayPal and Venmo buttons are intact, but it seems the “Buy Now” button control is not set. The “Buy Now” button seems to be tied to Stripe. Are you using the stand alone “Stripe Payments” Add-on for WooCommerce or do you have the “Stripe” enabled through “WC Payments”?

You should review your WC Payments and/or Stripe configuration settings to be sure the functionality is enabled. I see a Stripe access key here when I inspect the code but Stripe itself may not be enabled, and therefore not actually displaying the “Buy Now” button on the live page.

It appears I only have Woocommerce payments setup, not stripe standalone. I don’t see many settings for that, just a checkbox to turn it on or off. I did see this error message at the top today. Does that indicate anything? https://imgur.com/a/Fm8GHnj

    Thanks Patrick,

Yes, that error message correlates with the missing “Buy Now” button. That button appears as a result of an API call that connects your end user with Apple Payment services. It won’t actually display until you complete the verification process that allows it to make the API call.

I was able to find some documentation on setting up apple pay with WooCommerce Payments that you may find useful. I think just a matter of getting that verified and you should be good to go. If you have a WooCommerce or WordPress.com account you can reach out to WooCommerce directly for support with this as well.

    Hope this helps Patrick!

I disabled and reenabled the express checkout and the error went away. In Safari the tiny button brings up apple pay and it appears to work. So I think the link is okay but it is still a css problem. When I do a live preview of the Storefront theme the button appears normally. With my little css knowledge, it seems to me that there is not enough room allowed for the button.

    Thanks Patrick,

I’m inspecting your CSS in a few different Safari browsers now and I still don’t see the button being present on the page. The call is there by default but since it doesn’t seem to be communicating with the API there is nothing for us to select via CSS and enlarge. The code is there, it’s just not rendering.

You are a DreamHost customer and that gives you access to our Premium Support channel. With premium support you can grant us access to your website which will allow us to address the issue more directly. If it is in fact just a CSS issue I’m positive we can pinpoint it position it correctly for you.

We look forward to assisting your further with this in Premium support.

Thank you. How do I connect premium support? I logged in but it says I need to upgrade to get support. How do I tell it I am with Dreamhost?
    Thanks

    Hi Patrick!

The Premium account you have with us was set up with the same primary email address associated with your DreamHost hosting account. Hopefully logging into BoldGrid Central with that email allows you to post a Premium Support ticket, but please let us know if you run into any further difficulties getting in touch with our Premium Support team!

When I login, it still wants me to upgrade to premium to get support. I logged in with google, could that be the issue? It is the same email I have here and with dreamhost.

Sorry you’re having trouble Patrick. Yes, try loging in directly with your username and password instead of using Google.

What username should I be using? The one I use with dreamhost (this one) is a google account so it will only let me sign in with google, not my email.

If you signed up using your google account you should be able to login using that email address. You can try using your DreamHost username, or even choosing the “forgot password” option to reset your password and login with the reset link. That way might be better because then you can change and store your password.
