WebP extension doesn’t work

Hi, i installed the webp extension and i’m trying to convert the image but i still get the error “Failed to retrieve a response. Please reload the page to try again”, in both situation, indvidual and bulk.

Please let me know how to solve this issue.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and I am happy to help.

There can be several reasons why the image conversion may not be working in W3 Total Cache.
Please check the server log for any PHP errors/messages/fatal errors as you may need to increase the Allowed memory size
Please check if you are using any security plugins that may be blocking the requests sent for conversion.
Check the network tab while conversion is active for any 404 Ajax calls.

Hi,

actually looks like it works, at least from the media library list.

I did not solve the problem when i define the WP memory to 1024M, but when i defined the WP max memory to 1024M.
I’m trying also to another site right now, and there the concersion does not work even with the memory to 1024M.. i will continue to check and keep you posted with other possible errors.
