    Hi,

I have a problem with the Total Cache Image Converter not running. I have used the WP Toolkit to take over wp-cron.php, and have set a manual cron job via the cPanel that runs every 15 minutes.

I’m not having issues with any other cron jobs.

My active editor is WP_Image_Editor_Imagick and WEBP is a supported format.

I see an error on the Image Converter page: WP Cron is not working as expected, which is required for image format conversions. The learn more link returns a 404 on the support site. https://www.boldgrid.com/support/enable-wp-cron/?utm_source=w3tc&utm_medium=wp_cron&utm_campaign=imageservice

If I use the Convert All tool this starts processing images, but fails after around 250. I can refresh my screen and convert again and it will work through another 250.

The issue is it’s not firing on image upload, even though Auto-convert is enabled.

I’ve tried changing the schedule of w3tc_imageservice_cron to every 15 minutes, and even manually trying to ‘run’ the cron job doesn’t start any images processing. I’ve now got around 7000 unconverted images. I can manually convert all in batches, but still need to find out why this isn’t working.

Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this please?

    Thanks.

    Hello David,

Thank you for reaching out, and I am happy to help!
Just a couple of clarifications, when the 250 images are converted, and the conversion stops, and you refresh the screen, is another batch of 250 images converted, or the same images processed again?
In the W3 Total Cache Image conversion tool, the default cron runs for the Webp conversions every 10 sec.
Have you had issues before you used a manual cron Job? Can you please also share if you have a Pro license?
Can you please share if you are getting any errors?

    Thanks!
