Hi Elana,
Thanks for the code đ ; but something weird has come of it. Now all blockquotes are affected, so there’s a success; but instead of the Calligraffitti font, they are all Comic Sans (at least, that’s what it looks like to me). Just for fun, I also re-inserted the “data” declarations, which did not have any affect that I can see. The only thing that appears to have corrected was the word “Calligraffitti” in the editor, in the data-font-family declaration, has changed from a brown-ish tone, to black, which it what I think I want? all the declarations are still red đ Oh, and a funny thing; where the family-font declaration is, the word Calligraffitti is book-ended with single quotes; but in the data-font-family declaration, the Calligraffitti call required I remove those single quotes to become black; otherwise, with the quotes, it was that brownish color. I don’t even know what that might tell an expert coder, but I feel like it does mean something.
Anyway, if you feel up to it, and would like to have a look inside the admin console, let me know, I’d be grateful to provide the login credentials to you.
Thanks again!

Elana,
Thanks so much for this hopeful suggestion! Please help me know where to put this code. I am just a builder, not a “coder.” Do I start with the page on which the image is displayed, and go through the “Edit Section,” then “Advanced Control,” then “Custom CSS Classes,” or do I place this code somewhere else. I don’t understand what “@media only screen” means. Also, what do I do with the “(and max-width: 991px) section of your CSS” directions?
Sorry, I’m such a “novice.”

Thank you for the code so fast. I thought I would figure out quickly where to put it. But I am not a coder even as a novice. That bit doesn’t look like anything else on that page. Nothing else is in 3 lines. Would you be able to water it down greatly for me so I can put it where it needs to go?
I found the area that talks about headers… it just doesn’t make sense to me.

Update: I think I got the locations section to be acceptable for now at least.
But, no matter how I tweak the margins and padding on the home screen image/section, It still does not look right in the mobile view. I don’t have the settings you referred to, to change settings to individual screens. I have preview screens above the editor where I can click on the different screens but any edits I make changes all of the screens, not just the one I want to change. When I click the mobile screen it looks okay. However, it looks bad on an actual phone. I have a screenshot that I downloaded from a dreamhost chat rep, but I guess I can’t attach that here?
This is frustrating as I thought responsive themes wouldn’t be difficult to customize (especially for non-coder beginners)

I am absolutely disappointed in the premium post and page builder. This comes preloaded with my dreamhost subscription.
Absolutely none of your block elements are mobile ready. What’s going on here?
I would point you to which block I’m using from the library, but every time I go back to the library, it’s run like a carousel and just randomizes what comes up next????
this is the div class (div class=”bg-background-color tmpl-pricing_tables-6 boldgrid-section dynamic-gridblock)
I am a moderate coder and have wasted days of my life trying to fix them, only to give up and try another block element.
Going through your block library is like russian roulette. Will I find a theme that’s worth working on? probably not.
I spent a day trying to figure out why text bled through the page editor and disappeared into an inaccessible area. If I ran a find (command F) it said there were three strings of the same text, but only one displayed.
Drag and drop is utterly useless as it injects itself into the wrong area and breaks the code. I have to go into the text code area for literally every block or section I apply.
Hello Joshua,
It seems that I misunderstood the issue.
To answer your question, yes the random query string is added to all static files (you can choose which one in Browser Cache settings) and I took minified file as an example since the error was showing minified error.
So to confirm, this was not an issue before you enabled BC, and once you enabled it the issue started to occur? And even when BC is disabled in the General settings, the issue is still there?
As for the inline CSS (I strongly advise revisiting this as an option :)) This is a part of the HTML. So if the HTML is changed, and the cache is purged, the new and updated HTML is served to the users.
After a closer inspection, this error message is coming from React which is a JavaScript library for building user interfaces. Next to an error, there should be a link: https://reactjs.org/docs/error-decoder.html/?invariant=140
And this is suggesting that Expected hook events fire for the child before its parent includes it in onSetChildren()
So, this is the first time I am seeing this kind of problem, and related to W3 Total Cache. What I can advise is to disable all settings in W3 TOtal Cache, make sure that .htaccess does not contain any W3TC rules, and re-enable W3TC and the settings within the General settings one by one, saving the settings and purging the cache after each setting is enabled.
If the problem is in the Browser Cache, go to the Browser Cache settings, disable the settings one by one, also save all settings and purge the cache after each setting is disabled, and see which setting may be causing this.
Thanks!

Okay, I reviewed the video and got partial success in that I was able to get more of the page than I wanted to link to the first page (Ireland tour) I tried. unfortunately, I couldn’t then get the “cursor: pointer;” to correspond to the same area.
I don’t know if Branden’s suggestion might also work because my page (unlike the video) has multiple rows in multiple columns, and I can’t seem to locate the appropriate row style definition for the one row in the corresponding column to place the appropriate code (and I’m really not a coder either, but can follow directions).
Soooooooooooo, perhaps you could look at my page and identify which
<div class= “row” style…
section I’m supposed to either wrap in an anchor tab or add code from the video to.
Sorry to be so needy, but it doesn’t seem like I’m asking for such a sophisticated or unusual request. In summary, I simply want the entire box that is currently changing background color when you hover over the row with the Ireland text in it to essentially become a transparent button that links to the corresponding page (ireland-tour).
Thanks for your help!

Hi, thanks for the tips.
I’m not concerned about the color scheme, think I’ve got that sorted out. But positioning is really an issue that I don’t know how to resolve. I only have the three elements, two widgets plus a menu, and currently they are showing up in a very odd random layout in the footer that changes depending on the screen/window size. Is there any way to set this up better without going into extensive custom CSS? I’m not a very advanced coder. Seems like the footer elements should render in a reliable way, like left to right, top to bottom etc, based on settings, unless there are some major bugs in the way. Would appreciate any assistance, even if it’s a temporary solution until the theme gets an update. Thanks!
Hi Jack, thank you for using our WordPress theme Crio to design your website!
Encrypting or obfuscating public facing email addresses is not a feature currently available in any of our plugins or themes, but fortunately since your website is using the open source WordPress framework there are a wide variety of user generated solutions that might be able to help you protect that email address from spammers!
I was able to locate two plugins in the public WordPress repository that look like they will give you the functionality you are looking for:
Hopefully one of those plugins helps you protect your email address from spammers and please let us know if there is anything else that we can do to help!

Thanks so much! I’m not a coder (this is my first website), so your investigation and explanation was incredibly helpful. I’ll check in with the Themify folks.

Hi! I recently discovered Boldgrid and the Florentine theme when I installed a new site via my Dreamhost account. I’ve been using WordPress for several years now, but do not consider myself a coder by any stretch of the imagination. I specifically like the look of the Florentine theme and it’s Call to Action widget. However, when I had Dreamhost port the Boldgrid install to my account for a long-existing self-installed website, it’s not quite acting like the other “Dream Installs”. At first, I could not get the off-white background of the widget area to go away. After messing with it most of the day yesterday (including updating myPhP), I finally got it to look like this:

I still can’t get the off-white background for the title area of the Visual Editor widget to become transparent. What am I missing? And, more importantly, how can I make sure I avoid this in the future should I wish to edit the text and/or graphics in that widget? Any help you can offer will be most appreciated. Thanks, Tee
BoldGrid does not have a dedicated button to turn this link off. This is to make sure that an effort is made to provide attribution for content used freely from third parties, including code and images. Imagine you were a photographer or coder and allowed your work to be used freely and only asked for credit. That’s why the attribution page and Special Thanks link is included.
However, since BoldGrid is open-source, you can modify the code to hide those links should you desire to remove all attribution, but there is not an on/off button in the menu itself.
