    Hi Jonathan,

    I just wanted to let you know that the update has gone out to patch the WooCommerce templates warning you were receiving.  If you haven’t done so already you can go ahead and update Crio and the warning should go away.  WooCommerce updates their templates like this every so often so you if you ever happen to come across this error again just let us know and we’ll address it right away.

    Hi Jonathan!

    Thanks for reaching out and thank you for using Crio WordPress theme!  We’ve tested and can confirm that these are new template updates from WooCommerce.  We have created a bug ticket to have the templates updated and you should see it in an upcoming Crio patch release.

    You shouldn’t experience any loss in performance or functionality in the meantime but if you notice anything weird please let us know an we’ll provide you with a temporary workaround to use until the templates are updated.

    I read that this issue was resolved back in June but I’m still getting these messages. Any updates coming?

    1. How long have you been experiencing the issue?
    2. When was the last time you were able to log in without going through Woocommerce?
    3. Was there any recent updates or changes to your sites that were made just before the issue started?

    Hi, I apologize if you get this twice but I’m not sure my last post went through. I am using the Crio theme. I did not know there was a “Crio Premium for WordPress” theme. It does not come up when I search for themes in WordPress. I do have a Crio Premium plug in that says its up to date.

    Here’s the message I receive:

    “Your theme (Crio) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:

    Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.
    If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.

    Hi Diana,

    Thank you for reaching out, I set up WooCommerce with the most recent version of Crio Pro WordPress theme and I did not receive the out of date templates message.

    Could you by chance need to update your Crio Theme or WooCommerce plugin? I know sometimes WordPress sites are set to auto update themes and plugins and it’s possible a missed update may have caused this error.

    Can you tell us exactly where you’re seeing the error message and if you can, copy/paste it into the thread here so that we can review it?

    Hi,

    I keep getting a notification from Woocommerce that some of the templates with Crio are out of date. It says “Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.”

    Will Crio be receiving an update to address this or do I need to migrate to a new theme? If I move to a new theme, will I need to re-do my entire site?

    Custom Product Tabs For WooCommerce

    The product tabs had brochures and other product information. I think most products had 2-3 tabs. When I changed plugins all of the tabs were removed so I will need to rebuild them.

    I disabled “Enable merging of JavaScript files” first an then cleared all caches and no change. I then deactivated WP Optimize and Booster for Woocommerce (Custom Product Tabs was already disabled) and cleared all caches. The product tabs work with these deactivated.

    I then activated Booster for Woocommerce and cleared caches and tabs work.
    I activated Custom Product tabs and tabs work.
    I activated WP Optimize and the tabs no longer work. Deactivated WP Optimize again and purged and the tabs work again.

    It looks like the problem is with the WP Optimize plugin. I must have missed a cache when I deactivated it earlier.

    Hi Mason,

    Thanks for your response.  I reinspected your site and I no longer see those specific selector tags so I’m assuming deactivating the plugin did remove those particular classes and IDs.  I notice the problem still persist and when inspecting the browser console for JavaScript errors I see some caching errors with what looks like minification files in the WP Optimize Plugin:

    I located a similar issue and resolution in the WordPress repo and it looks like disabling particular minification settings seemed to have solve it.

    There could be some mis-configured caching settings and you can try temporarily deactivating WP Optimize and clearing all cache related to your website including browser cache and any server-side caching assistants and reloading your product page.

    To test your issue even further if you can us know:

    1. The desired result of your product tab functionality
    2. The exact plugin you’re using to incorporate this functionality.

    It would be great if you could send us the direct link to the WooCommerce Product Tabs plugin you’re using as I’ve seen quite a few listed in the repo.

    That is definitely possible. I haven’t done any custom setup, and everything has been working fine for a couple of years, but it recently started doing this. I was using a plugin called “custom product tabs” which doesn’t seem to be updated anymore so I deactivated and uninstalled it. I was checking it for updates because of this problem so I assumed it was because it had not been updated in a long time. I installed another plugin to be able to make custom tabs, but nothing changed.

    I have another site that is nearly identical (precisevibration.com and has the same problem) and I noticed if I add a product to the cart the tabs function as they should. Maybe caused by a Woocommerce update incompatibility with the old plugin? Can I edit/delete that class, ID and href?

    Thank you for reaching out and thanks for using the Colbalt theme with BoldGrid Post and Page Builder for WordPress!

    We are aware of the outdated WooCommerce templates in the Colbalt theme but I don’t think it should cause any compatibility issues within your site.

    We have a bug request in with our theme developers about the issue, and I’ll see if we can get an update released soon.

    I inspected your linked product page and also setup the Colbalt theme with WooCommerce in my own dev environment.  I see the product tab issue on your page but I was not able to replicate the issue in my own instance.  On further inspection I see a custom class and ID class="wb_cptb_1_tab" ID="tab-title-wb_cptb_1" linking to this href inside of the description: `

    I think maybe you have some sort of custom setup that links to these anchors and that is causing your error. Can you confirm if that’s possible?

    I’m having a problem with the Woocommerce product tabs on my product pages. If you click on a product the description is shown under the description tab. When you click on any other tab the content for that tab is not visible. Returning to the description tab it is now empty as well. The only way to see the product description again is to refresh the page.

    I have deactivated each plugin (except woocommerce) and the problem is still there. While looking for a possible cause it looks like Woocommerce points to themes needing updated. Under Woocommerce status it shows a lot of out-dated templates in the Cobalt theme.

    If I do a live preview from Boldgrid post and page builder everything works fine.

    You’re correct, Diced is considered a legacy theme but your WooCommerce templates should be up to date so I’m thinking a couple of things could be off.

    Can you first check the “Themes” section of your WordPress dashboard, click the “Diced” theme to open its properties and verify the theme version for us?

    I would also like for you to navigate to Settings > BoldGrid Connect > Update Channels and make sure both Plugins and Themes are both set to Stable.

    We’ll test this on our end as well and if the templates are indeed out of date we’ll get a patch in asap so that our developers can address it as soon as possible.

    Hi there,

    I set up the Diced theme from BoldGrid [via DreamHost] to run my WooCommerce site.

    According to Dreamhost support, some of the website problems I’m having may be due to your Diced template being out-of-date. I appear to be using the latest version (Version: 1.25.9).

    Is there a problem with this template no longer being compatible with WooCommerce?

    And if so, as someone who is not looking to have to redo my hobby website every 2 years for deprecated templates, is there a substitute I could switch to you will plan on maintaining for years to come?

    Topic: How to adjust Woocommerce sidebar in Crio WordPress theme

    (As a note, this is my first website and it’s in the early stages) I’ve tried everything I’ve been able to find on the internet to no avail. I just cannot get the Woocommerce Primary Sidebar to appear on the left side of the shop page. When using Design>Blog>Blog Page>Sidebar, I am able to utilize the “no sidebar” option to remove it, but using “Left Sidebar” or “Right Sidebar” both make it appear on the right. This isn’t a major design issue on desktop, but using a mobile device, this makes the sidebar widgets appear at the bottom below all the products, which is terrible design. I’ve tried using Code Snippets, utilizing advice and php code from chatGPT to force the sidebar to the left. I’ve tried using CSS code mentioned in online forums. Nothing has worked. I’d prefer to stay away from child themes, as the multiple times I’ve tried to use them have resulted in strange design differences.

    I am using the Crio theme with WordPress.

    I have been unable to backup my website for several weeks now. I received the following error:

    Your backup failed, and we were unable to detect any fatal errors. This usually happens when your hosting provider kills a backup process using the “SIGKILL” signal. To learn more about this as well as troubleshooting techniques, please click here.

    I have tried all the various steps to resolve including changing Compressor to Systemzip with various levels of compression with no avail. I’ve tried all 3 types of compression to no avail. The Preflight Check shows PASS in green. It has never failed a preflight check.

    My backups have been failing for a week now. My host has increased the memory_limit and post_max_size values but I ran the backup manually and it failed (see log below) and I’m at a loss to know what’s ging on.

    Hi RA,

    Are you saying that the Your theme contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files., message is still displaying in your Crio theme? That should not be the case but we’ll be more than happy to look into it for you.

    Keep in mind that Crio also integrates with your Post and Page Builder Plugin as well so it will retain the page elements from your previous BoldGrid theme as well. If you can link us to the site we will inspect it directly and give you our best suggestions on how to make your desired improvements.

    I have successfully set up the staging site but it does not look that different from Haven nor can I see the difference it brings with integrating WooCommerce seamlessly.

    Is there another theme option or Crio is it? Can I get some help with support to see what I am missing with Crio/WooCommerce integration?

    Hi Michelle,

    Thanks for reaching out with your Crio Pro WordPress theme questions! I inspected your site and it looks like the CSS selectors for your WooCommerce price text .woocommerce div.product p.price is hard-coded to reflect one of your color palette settings.

    We can remove the CSS variable ('--color-1') with JavaScript, I created a function that should do that for you. When I removed the CSS variable it defaulted to this gold color #b3af54 so I replaced it with that color in the script but you can change it to any color you’d like. Here’s the function:

    I have tried reauthorizing my google drive, but that didn’t seem to help. I also confirmed that I do have sufficient storage space available.

    I started backing up my website to google drive about 3 years ago, but it appears that it stopped working quite a long time ago and I didn’t realize it – the most recent backup on my google drive is dated May 12, 2021. Since it was so long ago, I don’t know why that would have happened or what changes may have taken place on my website at that time.

    I am starting to wonder if this issue is even bigger than I realized as I went to look at my most recent backup on my website (from two days ago) and it will not let me access any files and folders or database for that backup. It says “An unknown error has occurred when trying to get a listing of the files in this archive.”

    Two days ago I had an issue on my website and had to deactivate and reactivate all my plugins. Since that time, I have received an email every 10 minutes informing me that a backup archive has been created for my website, triggered by WP cron. I don’t know why it is doing this (I have a scheduled backup once per week), and the only way I have figured out how to make it stop is to deactivate my total upkeep plugins.

    That is a great question and I think you made an awesome decision to switch to Crio! The transition to Crio can be done smoothly without affecting your client’s live site. Here are the steps that you can communicate to your client:

    Create a Staging Site: First, it would be best to set up a staging site. A staging site is a clone of your live website where you can test any changes or major updates before applying them to your live site. This way, you can explore the Crio theme without impacting your customer’s website. If you don’t know how to do this your web host will likely be able to guide through the process of creating the staging site

    Install Crio on Staging Site: Once the staging site is set up, you can install the BoldGrid Crio theme there and experiment with it as much as you want. Crio will retain all of the elements from BoldGrid Post and Page Builder as it integrates seamlessly. The major difference will be that you’ll likely need to setup your header and footer as Crio introduces many new customization features.

    Heres a video that we created that should help you get familiar with using page headers and footers in Crio. It actually uses the same drag and drop functionality as the BoldGrid Post and Page Builder.

    Customize and Test: Customize your new theme as per your requirements and thoroughly test all functionalities, including the compatibility with WooCommerce and other plugins. If you run into any issues or need assistance with customization, our support team is always ready to help.

    Deploy the Changes: Once everything on the staging site is working as expected, you can then replace your live site with the staging site.

    I am helping a client implement WooCommerce on the website running BoldGrid Haven theme version 1.18.10 but I keep getting “Your theme (Haven) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce. Suggestions to fix this:

    Update your theme to the latest version. If no update is available contact your theme author asking about compatibility with the current WooCommerce version.
    If you copied over a template file to change something, then you will need to copy the new version of the template and apply your changes again.
    ”

    I have followed the WooCommerce instructions linked but still get errors. Also BoldGrid Haven doesnt provide great customization options for the product and shop templates.

    Is Haven getting any updates anytime soon or is there an alternate Boldgrid theme that integrates seemlessly with WooCommerce as it has been incredibly frustrating trying to get it to work?

    Topic: How to disable fragment cache?

    We have a PRO license from W3 total cache on our Woocommerce webshop cendo.nl. I accidentally enabled Fragment Cache, but after that I couldn’t disable it and I get this kind of error message:

    Because this caused cron jobs to no longer run and the WordPress admin pages became very slow, I have now deactivated the entire plugin, but that is not desirable.

    I’ve heard a lot of people online mention the WooCommerce setting to add items to cart via AJAX but sadly it doesn’t seem to exist. I’ve looked where people say it should be and everywhere else but the only similar setting I can find (which should be in the same place the setting you mentioned is) is called “Enable AJAX add to cart buttons on archives” but this doesn’t help with product pages, that option is enabled though. If you know why the setting might not be showing up that would be really nice.

    The only one of the W3 Total Cache settings that wasn’t set to what you recommend was disabling ‘cache control’ which seems to work, as far as I can tell right now. We’ll do some more testing next week to make sure everything works as intended now but if you don’t hear from me again then thanks for the help!

    If convenient, can you please share your website URL?
    In the Woocommerce settings, there should be a setting to Ajax add to cart for WooCommerce. This will bypass the cache and load the cart dynamically with W3 Total Cache.
    Also, check if the cache control and expires header is set for the HTML&XML section in Performance>Browser Cache and disable it, save all settings, and purge the cache.
    Make sure that the option “Don’t cache pages for logged-in users” is enabled in Performance>Page Cache.

    Hello,

    I’ve installed this plugin in a development setting for my WordPress site and it’s very fast.
    The only issue I currently still have is that it is caching certain things that should not be cached, namely the mini cart and the logged in status both in my header.

    Going to the actual checkout page has the right cart items but the mini cart in my header often shows as either empty or not having all items (I’m using WooCommerce btw if that changes anything).

    Also in my header it’s supposed to show you’re name if you’re logged in but since the header is I guess cached it just always shows the login button unless going to a page that had not been cached yet.

    I thought about just not caching the header php file at all but it’s where all my CSS and some JS is loaded in so that would defeat a lot of the purpose of the plugin. Any idea how I could fix this? The plugin gives my website a much needed performance boost and this is the only thing keeping me from using currently.

    I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the mobile responsiveness of your shopping cart. We inspected your site and we’re noticing the “Add to Cart” buttons are redirecting back to the current page and no option to view the cart is available at all. That’s for larger and smaller screen sizes on our end.

    Has anything changed recently that might have caused this? Also has the cart worked at any point or is this your first time setting it up?

    You can use a responsive cart plugin like Side Cart WooCommerce (Ajax) to add an interactive and responsive shopping cart option to your theme. This might actually be easier for you to incorporate than the current option.

    1. Unfortunately the plugin: https://woocommerce.com/products/request-a-quote-plugin-for-woocommerce/ doesn’t have an Ajax option to keep the mini quote dynamic.

    2. It is related to page cache. When the Cache is turned off, the mini quote works as normal. We have tried to use the fragment cache, but cannot get it to work…can you advise on how to implement the fragment cache on the below piece of code: https://welding-alloys.zerobox.co.za/wp-content/uploads/mini-quote.txt which renders the mini quote in question.
