    Hello,

    I see it has the second heading right below the main menu, this is part of the woocommerce template for the shop page, I was able to hide it on a test instance by setting the div to not display using the CSS below in the custom CSS editor in the customizer.  The WordPress attribution should be able to be turned off inside your customizer by going to Advanced > Footer Settings > Hide WordPress Attribution.

    .headerimg {
    display: none;
    }

    Hi Carlos D,

    Oh, thank you so much! I installed the Boldgrid backup plug-in, did a manual back-up as advised, then updated the Diced theme. My website is still intact, and WooCommerce works fine. Thank you again for your help!

    Hello Sonya,

    Thanks for posting your questions regarding updates to the Diced theme. Theoretically, the themes will retain your customization. However, I always recommend making a backup of your website prior to making updates to it. This will create a restore point for you, in case the updates cause unexpected behavior.

    Updating the theme may not stop the message regarding outdated WooCommerce template files from displaying. Rather, you need to make a backup and then proceed to update the templates that WooCommerce is advising. I hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Carlos D

    Hi! I used the Diced 1.20 template to originally create my website. I did not create a child template, I customized the Diced template with font selections, colors, added my own pictures and added pages with Boldgrid sections. I have WooCommerce installed and it works well, but have received notice that Diced needs an update to 1.23.1 (this is the only thing I have not updated, but I keep all other plug-ins updated on my site). From the WooCommerce system status page – template overrides section: “boldgrid-diced/woocommerce/archive-product.php version 2.0.0 is out of date. The core version is 3.3.0,
    boldgrid-diced/woocommerce/single-product.php”

    Question 1: If I update the Diced theme to the latest version 1.23.1, will that wipe my website as I customized since it is not a child template?

    Question 2: Does the updated Diced template correct the WooCommerce issue?

    Thank you so much for your help!

    Hello Sheri,

    Thanks for posting your question regarding notifications indicating WooCommerce templates are out of date. If you are using the default Pavilion theme by BoldGrid, you can simply proceed with backing up your website and then updating the templates by navigating to WooCommerce > System Status. If you are using a Child Theme and making customizations to the files themselves, then there may be a bit more involved in the process (in order to preserve your custom code). Either way, the WooCommerce documentation provides details on how to proceed with this particular kind of update to the theme files.

    I strongly recommend you create a backup before running updates like this. A backup will create a working/restorable point for your website, in case the updates cause unexpected behavior.

    BoldGrid themes are regularly updated, however, I don’t believe that these are the updates that WooCommerce is indicating. According to WooCommerce, all themes (even those that do not claim to be WooCommerce “ready”) will work with WooCommerce. I hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Carlos D

    I’m using Pavilion Version 1.23.1 and have gotten notice that there are 14 WooCommerce templates that are out of date.

    Will these be updated soon?  I’m just building my site now and need to know if I should change themes before I transfer my domain and go live?

    Thank you!

    Sorry for the problems with the Uptempo theme in WooCommerce.  We need to know the version of the theme that you’re using.  Can you please provide that and then we can investigate the issue in more depth.

    I am getting warnings that “Your theme (Uptempo) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce.” and my shop page looks terrable now after updating to woo commerce 3.3.0 .

    Woo commerce does say that I can over ride theme, but last time I attempted to do that I got a “You are cheating” error and page went blank.

    Any info on how I can change the shop page, or when an update will be available would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Hello Lisa,

    Sorry for the issues with the templates.  We have notified the developers concerning the theme issue.  When it is updated you will see a Theme update notification. Apologies that we don’t have a timeline on the issue at the moment.  When we get more information we will update this query.

    In my dashboard, I received notice that a number of woocommerce templates in Hifidel are out of date.  I am using BoldGrid because I know nothing about coding.  Is it something BoldGrid will be addressing?

    Hello Lisa,

    Sorry for the problems with the social media links.  When I test, I see them work, so I’m not sure why they are not working on your site.  We would need a URL in order to verify.  Are you clicking on PUBLISH after you customize the links?  If you don’t, then the changes will not be saved.

    In regards to the color of the menu links, you would need to make some CSS changes for that.  This is not normal functionality for the BoldGrid plugin.  You can check out this previous question post for the answer to making a change to the links, though.

    If you’re trying to make a change in WooCommerce you may need to consult with their support for the appropriate steps to make changes to their text colors.  It will most likely involve some coding as it is not a normal part of WooCommerce’s functionality to make that type of change.

    If you have any further questions, please let us know.

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us about WooCommerce. You can build a multi vendor e-commerce site using it however we do not have any suggestions on the theme, The theme will depend on how you want the site to look so it’s best to look through the one in the WordPress archives or look around on google to see if you find one that stands out to you.

    The main difference between BoldGrid and other page builders is BoldGrid is a full site builder, not just a page builder, It walks you through getting started and picking a theme choosing page layouts and refilling relevant content and images in addition to other utilities too in addition to a page builder.

    Hi, Bruce.

    I’m sorry to see you’re experiencing an issue with adding shipping costs to WooCommerce. What kind of error are you receiving? What steps are you taking that caused the error? Thanks again for your patience Neal! I believe I have found 2 solutions for you to try.

    .woocommerce ul.products li.product a img {
    box-shadow: 20px 20px 20px 20px red;
    }

    That code will place a red shadow around the image of each product.
    .palette-primary.woocommerce-page ul.products li.product, .palette-primary.woocommerce ul.products li.product {
    background-color: antiquewhite;
    opacity: .7;
    }

    That code will place an “antique white” box around the entire list of products. Also, with that code, you can adjust the opacity and background-color to what you’d like!

    I hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Carlos E

    Hey gabyampudia!
    I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues uploading plugins.  From the screenshots you’ve shared it looks like calls using wp_remote_get() and wp_remote_post() are both failing.  These calls are made by many plugins like ours, wooCommerce, and even WordPress itself.  Underneath it all, it’s using curl to make a request to a remote location for data, so it looks like something is preventing communication with your server to external resources. This would cause no plugin results to be fetched from wordpress.org, connection issue messages with BoldGrid, and display the errors you see in your wooCommerce system status.

    I would recommend contacting your web hosting provider to see if they can assist you in troubleshooting and seeing why you’re not able to make calls with curl from your server.  Feel free to check out our recommended hosting providers as well if your current host is not able to get this issue resolved for you!

    Hello onyxeyez,

    Thank you for your question about image sizes in WooCommerce. This is very likely a theme support issue. The default WordPress themes like TwentyFifteen may offer more support for WooCommerce image adjustments because both the theme and plugin are developed by the same corporation.

    However, we are currently looking for areas where our themes can be optimized to provide more default support for WooCommerce, and we thank you for reporting this behavior to us. I will make sure the development team is made aware of it.

    In the meantime, if you are looking for a custom coded solution, you may want to investigate the creation of the product post type in your BoldGrid installation to display your products. BoldGrid does not provide this post type by default, but it can be introduced into your installation as a template file without affecting other pages.

    Christopher M.

    Hi – I have WooCommerce installed on my site, and the only problem is that I cannot resize the images on the category page. I can resize them as directed through their plugin, and they show up the correct size when I view the image, but they stay the same size on the page. It seems to be something in the BoldGrid Theme that insists that the images stay a certain size (it may have to do with the number of images allowed per row?) When I try an older theme such as TwentyFifteen the images are the correct size. I have tried code that I found, but I cannot get it to allow WooCommerce’s resizing to show. Is there something I need to edit in the CSS to allow it to show the images at the desired size?

    I thank you in advance.

    Hello Aaron,

    Thank you for your question regarding post titles getting crossed out on WooCommerce products. It appears to be a conflict with the product custom post type and the BoldGrid CSS. You’ll notice, if creating a blog post, the “entry-title” element has a thin black line behind it. However, the title is clear because the CSS breaks the line for the width of the title.

    This does not appear to work with the WooCommerce “product-title” element, even though it is the same thin black line. After testing with WooCommerce, I found that the Hifidel theme displays products most clearly. But, the Gridone CSS displays this line, and I could find no way to remove it entirely without breaking the layout of the page.

    The way to address the issue right away would be to edit the product post type for WooCommerce to use CSS elements that are BoldGrid-friendly, or to use Javascript in the BoldGrid custom code editors to use something like a string replacement for the CSS style being used on the product page titles. The former option would require editing of WooCommerce core files, which is risky unless you are very familiar with that code. The Javascript hack would be safer, but it might affect other themes you might want to try out in the staging area.

    Considering that WooCommerce is a popular plugin, there will likely be a patch in the future that corrects this, but in the meantime, using the Javascript custom coding method mentioned above would likely get the best result.

    i’m using the grid one inspiration along with woocommerce. whenever a post a product title they appear with a line through them  like this   . what is the cause of this and how can i fix it?

    #24141

    Hi Christopher,

    I am attaching a picture of how the product name looks.  I have installed a couple additional WooCommerce plugins, WooCommerce Custom Product Tabs Lite & WooCommerce Menu Cart but the problem existed before that.  I removed a plugin Customize WooCommerce Store, it does not appear to be supported anymore, and now the code appears like this.  I would like the font size to be somewhere in between 24-30 and definitely do not want the line through it.  My Boldgrid customizer is set to have headings at 20px.

    1. font-size: 52px;
    2. text-transform: none;
    3. font-family: sans-serif;

    WooCommerce product title with line thru it

    Hello,

    Thank you for your question about style issues with the Hifidel theme and WooCommerce. This is one of the themes that we have tested with WooCommerce and it worked normally. Are there any steps we can follow to replicate the issue as you see it?

    I am using the Boldgrid theme Hifidel and the WooCommerce plugin.  However on the product the product name appears to big and with a blue line through it.  I am unable to alter it.  I suspect it is due to the fact that the font-size & font-weight are viewed as invalid, they appear with a yellow alert sign before them on the browser.  I have tried altering it by specifying the font size in the CSS using the class name it is under but that does not work.  Do you have any ideas of what to do about this.  If I cannot find a way to fix it I am going to have to abandon Boldgrid and use a regular WordPress theme.  The link to the product is: http://new.spadet.com/?post_type=product&p=141&preview=true

    class=”product_title entry-title”

    1. font-size: px !important;
    2. font-weight: !important;

    Hello sportslady180,

    Thank you for contacting us. WooCommerce has “shortcodes” you can use for things such as showing a single product, checkout links or recent products among other things. Here is a helpful link to the official WooCommerce Shortcode documentation. Also, here is a link to the WordPress Codex on shortcodes.

    Hi Scott,

    I’m probably confused to your answer as this is all new to me.

    I don’t want to have a one page site, but a site which has just a landing page with menu links to my other pages. The other pages will be single pages, no columns.

    Visitors to my Home page will see a simple one page display with an image or video or slider with some text in the image area indicating they’ve found the right place, and some dropdown menu links to the other pages at the top of the page and maybe duplicated below the image/video/slider. I don’t want the Home page to look like a blog or have a bunch of text on it. Just a simple page with links for visitors to go for information.

    It’s good knowing WooCommerce intergrates well with BoldGrid themes so far.

    Thanks for your help Scott. Much appreciated.

    Hello Sum1,

    Thank you for your questions on using BoldGrid for a  one page landing site. Yes, you can use any of the BoldGrid themes as a single page site. After the installation, simply remove the extra pages and ensure they are not in the site menu.

    As for your question on WooCommerce compatibility: so far, all BoldGrid themes seem to work with WooCommerce without issue.

    Kindest Regards,

    I’m new to WordPress and BoldGrid so what I’m asking may seem pretty dumb.

    I want a simple one page theme with a landing page which allows the future inclusion of the woocommerce plugin.

    Which BoldGrid themes are landing page? Can any BoldGrid theme be turned into a landing page theme? Are all BoldGrid themes compatible with woocommerce? Can any BoldGrid theme be converted to a one page theme?

    Thanks for any advice you can give this beginner of BoldGrid and WordPress.

    I am using WooCommerce with the BoldGrid HiFidel theme. On my product pages, I would like to center my logo, also, my product name appears with a line through it.  I would like to change the size of the product title, remove the line and change the page layout to fit better with the rest of the site in this template.  HELP!  I have tried a few plugins and none has helped me to do this.

    Thanks,

    Lisa

    #24750

    I am new to all this, so codes and such I am not familiar with. I have downloaded the Artificer theme for woocommerce. This has pretty much rid my wordpress of all boldgrid help that I was offered before.

    Before I could edit where my logo went easily with the customizer. Now I do not have that option. So now my only option seems to be the code. I have no idea how to change it or what do change exactly to get my logo in my header to be centered.

    Could anyone offer some guidance on what to do and how to do it?

    I tried looking online for simple code changes. In the css it had logo aligned to the left. I changed it to center and such. Tried copying and pasting simple codes  for the logo, but nothing changed AT ALL. I don’t know if I’m not entering it in the right place or if I have to change more than the code on the logo to get it to work.

    Please help!
