This tutorial will show you how to customize your WordPress Site Title and update the logo with WordPress Customizer, along with showing some of the added BoldGrid features you’ll get in the customizer. This tab allows you to create a custom title, add a tagline, and even use your own logo and favicon.
An example of when you’d use this feature is following completion of the initial WordPress site install, when a placeholder site title and tagline may have been input. The Site Title and Logo Customizer allow you to make quick and easy updates to these placeholders, without requiring you to modify the code of the page.
- Log into your BoldGrid Dashboard
- Select the Customize option in the left-hand menu pane.
- Choose the Site Title & Logo Tab.
- You will now have various options to customize.
Option Description Site Title Enter a Site title here, for it to display on the top of the page. Typically a brand name is chosen here, or a short string of text which defines your site as a whole. It should be fairly short because this text will be appended to the end of the title for every page and post. Tagline Test you enter here will display below the Site Title. Custom Font Click this option to modify the Font style and size. Position Click this button to modify the location of the Site Title and tagline. This is done by creating margins, and adding spacing to letters. Custom Shadow Click this button to customize the shadows of the Site title & Tagline. Site Logo Click the Select Image button to upload a custom Logo. Notice: This will replace the Site Title. Site Icon Click the Select Image button to upload a custom site Icon, also known as a favicon.
- Click the Save & Publish button once you have made your selections.
