\nWhen first starting out, it can be daunting to find a good balance between categories and tags. The table below provides examples of popular blog categories and how you can “tag” them for organization:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Managing Categories for Posts<\/h2>\n

In the Dashboard, Navigate to Posts → Categories<\/b><\/li>\n
On the right hand side, you can manage, edit and delete existing categories<\/b><\/li>\n
On the left, fill in a Name <\/b>and optional Description <\/b>for each category you wish to add<\/li>\n
Click Add New Category<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Managing Tags for Posts<\/h2>\n

In the Dashboard, Navigate to Posts → Tags<\/b><\/li>\n
On the right hand side, you can manage and edit existing tags<\/li>\n
On the left, fill in a Name <\/b>and optional Description <\/b>for each tag you wish to add<\/li>\n
Click Add New Tag<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Adding Categories and Tags to a Post<\/h2>\n

In the Dashboard, Navigate to Posts → All Posts <\/b><\/li>\n
In the sidebar, locate the box labeled Categories<\/b><\/li>\n
Select an existing category for the Post <\/b>or add a new one<\/li>\n
In the sidebar, locate the box labeled Tags<\/li>\n
Begin typing the Tag to search for existing ones, or add new Tags<\/li>\n
You can add multiple Tags to the Tag <\/b>field separated by commas<\/li>\n
Click Add to assign your series of Tags <\/b>to this Post<\/li>\n
Use the x to the left of each Tag <\/b>to remove it if needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
