With the Total Upkeep <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boldgrid.com\/wordpress-backup-plugin\">plugin’s Premium Extension<\/a>, you can use Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) to safely store your WordPress backups in case anything happens to your web server.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"why-amazon-s3\">Why Amazon S3?<\/span><\/h2>\nAmazon S3 is designed to have 99.999999999% durability and is extremely affordable. With S3, you pay for what you use in a scaling fashion, which makes it a perfect solution for websites of all sizes to keep <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boldgrid.com\/support\/total-upkeep\/remote-storage\/\">secure offsite backups.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"how-to-configure-amazon-s3-storage\">How to Configure Amazon S3 Storage<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must already have an <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/portal.aws.amazon.com\/gp\/aws\/developer\/registration\/index.html\">AWS account set up<\/span><\/a> in order to follow these instructions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sign into your AWS Management Console, and navigate to <\/span>Security, Identity, and Compliance ➡ IAM.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on <\/span>Users<\/b> in the left-hand menu, then click <\/span>Add User.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Name your new user and click <\/span>Programmatic Access<\/b>, then click <\/span>Next: Permissions.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choose <\/span>Attach existing policies directly.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Type <\/span>AmazonS3FullAccess<\/b> into the filter and select the matching policy, then click <\/span>Next: Tags.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click <\/span>Next: Review<\/b>, then <\/span>Create User.<\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Copy the <\/span>Access Key ID <\/b>and <\/span>Secret Access Key<\/b> to a safe location.
