Before you can install a WordPress website with BoldGrid in cPanel<\/a>, you need a domain to install it. Your cPanel account was created with a primary domain<\/strong>, but you can also choose to install your websites on subdomains<\/strong> or add-on<\/strong> domains.<\/strong> Follow these instructions to create a new subdomain or addon domain for your WordPress with BoldGrid website.<\/p>\n

Create an Add-On Domain in cPanel<\/h2>\n

  1. Utilize your domain registrar’s DNS management tools to create a DNS A Record to your cPanel account’s IP address.<\/li>\n
  2. Log into your cPanel dashboard according to your web host’s instructions.<\/li>\n
  3. Locate the Domains <\/strong>section, and click on Addon Domains.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Enter your domain name into the field.<\/li>\n
  5. Use the default subdomain and document root that are automatically generated, unless you have a reason to create custom ones.<\/li>\n
  6. Click Add Domain.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. Remember to allow 4-24 hours after creating your DNS A record for your DNS to propagate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Create a SubDomain in cPanel<\/h2>\n

    1. Log into your cPanel dashboard according to your web host’s instructions.<\/li>\n
    2. Locate the Domains <\/strong>section, and click on Subdomains.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Choose the domain on which you’d like to create your subdomain from the dropdown menu, and enter your subdomain name.<\/li>\n
    4. Use the default document root that is automatically generated, unless you have a reason to create a custom one.<\/li>\n
