Follow these instructions to clone your live website to a BoldGrid Cloud WordPress staging site.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-responsive\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"How to Transfer a WordPress Website Using Total Upkeep\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tfL6mrdB4nA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<h2 id=\"create-a-new-cloud-staging-snap\">Create a new Cloud Staging Snap<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Log into <strong>BoldGrid Central<\/strong> and navigate to <strong>Cloud WordPress.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on&nbsp;<strong>My Snaps.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Search for your theme, or use the&nbsp;<strong>Custom URL<\/strong> option if your theme is not available from the WordPress Repository, then click&nbsp;<strong>Continue.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select all of your plugins, as well as <strong>Total Upkeep, <\/strong>then click <strong>Next Step.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Save your Snap and give it a name, for example, <strong>mywebsitedomain.com Snap.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>You can now re-use this Snap any time you need to create a new WordPress Staging site.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"create-a-backup-of-your-database-and-content\">Create a backup of Your Database and Content<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Log into your <strong>WordPress Dashboard<\/strong> on your <strong>live site<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Install the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boldgrid.com\/wordpress-backup-plugin\/\">Total Upkeep Plugin<\/a><\/strong> if you haven&rsquo;t already done so.<\/li>\n<li>Navigate to <strong>Total Upkeep -&gt; Backup Archives.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on&nbsp;<strong>Backup Site Now.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Underneath&nbsp;<strong>Files and Folders,<\/strong> choose&nbsp;<strong>Custom Backup.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>In the&nbsp;<strong>Include&nbsp;<\/strong>field, enter:\n<pre> \/wp-content<\/pre>\n<\/li>\n<li>Underneath&nbsp;<strong>Database<\/strong>, choose&nbsp;<strong>Backup all tables,&nbsp;<\/strong>then click&nbsp;<strong>Backup Site Now.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Once the backup completes, click&nbsp;<strong>view details -&gt; Get Download Link<\/strong> and copy the URL to your clipboard.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"clone-your-website-to-staging\">Clone your Website to Staging<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Log into your&nbsp;<strong>BoldGrid Cloud WordPress&nbsp;<\/strong>Dashboard that you created in the first section, and navigate to&nbsp;<strong>Total Upkeep -&gt; Backup Archives -&gt; Upload Backup.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Paste the URL into the&nbsp;<strong>Download URL Address<\/strong> field, and then click&nbsp;<strong>Upload.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Once the upload is complete, click&nbsp;<strong>view details<\/strong> and then&nbsp;<strong>Restore.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Congratulations!
