Hello Stephen,

Thanks for submitting a question about adding a Facebook "Like" button to your site. In order to add this button, you would need to get the code from Facebook first and then add it to the single post page template. However, there are WordPress plugins that will achieve this same effect, and if you're not comfortable with editing the code of your theme I'd suggest going with a plugin.

Hello NGC,

Thanks for submitting a question about the footer content of your page. Yes, the premium key gives you an option to turn off the Attribution links. However, the source code is open, so you can remove it manually without purchasing a key.

The Attribution requirement is attached to the free version for licensing and copyright reasons that stem from using various media through BoldGrid image searching. That's why a paid option is available.

But, as I mentioned before, you can remove these links via CSS and/or editing the PHP source files directly without purchasing a key as is true for any WordPress theme.

Christopher M.

Hello Tom,

Thanks for submitting a question about removing your header image on certain pages. At the moment, there is not a header image on/off button for individual pages (though I'd encourage you to submit a feature request if you think such a feature would enhance your workflow). We recommend keeping a consistent feel across all pages, but we encourage customization so we understand one size doesn't fit all.

While this may seem like an easy change, it requires the creation of alternative page template in WordPress. This gives you virtually limitless control over each page layout but it is an advanced step, and you would need to create a "child theme". However, for a professional WordPress developer this is certainly a more common procedure and they could implement that for you rather quickly.

Hello Nathaniel,

Thanks for submitting a question about background images. There are options in the Customizer that can prevent this. Which options have you tried so far?

Hello Nathaniel,

Thanks for submitting a question about inserting a button-triggered pop-up. While you are able to add buttons to your pages via the WordPress editor supplemented by the BoldGrid plugin, we do not have pop-up events programmed in. If this is a feature you're interested in you may consider requesting for an upcoming BoldGrid release.

It is certainly going to happen eventually because Gutenberg is going to be the official WordPress editor in the near future. At the moment, though, we don't have a set date for when BoldGrid will be fully integrated. You can rest assured though that BoldGrid will function normally during that transition.

Hello JonC,

Thanks for submitting a question about coding with CSS. I'd recommend using the developer tools in your browser to make sure you are targeting the precise CSS selector. Using these tools will allow you to test your code live so you can be sure it takes effect as desired.

We're unfortunately not equipped to provide individual coding solutions upon request via this public forum. It is highly likely a custom solution designed specifically for you by a professional WordPress theme designer would be a more optimal and longer term solution in either case.

Often, this can be a result of a web server configuration or error in WordPress. The first thing you'll want to try is resetting the permalinks in WordPress.

At the moment, BoldGrid uses the classic WordPress editor only.

Hi, Stephen. Are you to enable SMTP from within WordPress? There are plugins that can assist with this to make sure that WordPress is able to send out mail properly. This article from WPForms explains why this is so and recommends plugins.
