Hello,

Thank you for posting your question about using the BoldGrid Backup plugin to launch your website on GoDaddy. The simple version of the instructions in our guide "How to Migrate Your WordPress Website using BoldGrid Backup" are:

  1. Install the BoldGrid Backup plugin in your existing WordPress Administrative Dashboard
  2. Create a backup using the BoldGrid Backup plugin
  3. Install WordPress and the BoldGrid Backup plugin in your new location (GoDaddy)
  4. Restore the backup you created

If you have further questions/concerns about the process, please feel free to leave a comment on this answer for further clarification of the specific issue you are having. We are more than happy to help!

I hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Carlos D.

We recommend reviewing the wordpress.org plugins available. You'll want to keep in mind the features you're looking for, the last time the plugin was updated, as well as the version of WordPress it's been tested with. It's much more of a pleasant experience if the plugin's developer updates frequently and tests with the latest version of WordPress.

    I hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Carlos D.

    Hello,

Thanks for posting your question about building a landing page with BoldGrid. This can be built using the homepage. However, if you do not like the features available for the homepage, you can consider using a third party plugin. There are lots of WordPress plugins that can handle your landing page specifically.

    I hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Carlos D.

    Hello Michael,

Thanks for posting your question regarding logged in users and the content they are able to see. Although this is not a native feature for BoldGrid, you may be able to find a plugin that adds this functionality to your website in the WordPress.org plugin repository. I hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Carlos D.

    Hello.

Thanks for posting your question regarding how to replace your current self-hosted WordPress website with your BoldGrid website. Regardless of where the WordPress installation is hosted, you can use the BoldGrid Backup plugin to migrate your website to another location.

    I hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Carlos D.

    Hi Rose,

    Hello.

Thanks for posting your question regarding adding a sidebar to the left or right of your entire website. With BoldGrid Inspirations, the layout is dictated by the Inspiration you choose. For instance, the Inspiration named: Monument has a left-side bar.

    I hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Carlos D.

    Hello Carol!

Thanks for posting your question on how to add a logo and company name to your header. BoldGrid enables you to make these customizations simply through the Customizer. Once in the Customizer, you can change your Site Title and Logo as outlined in our guide. You can enter the company name as the Site Title, in your case. I hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Carlos D.
