Introducing BoldGrid’s Dynamic Block Creator

WordPress Page Builder

Blocks: an innovative feature that makes BoldGrid so special. Why? Blocks consist of pre-built page sections. Each Block contains a unique array of rows and columns of pre-populated content blocks. Using Blocks, you can easily build pages and posts in your WordPress website, either visually or with HTML and CSS, saving you valuable time and effort.

We recently made this drag-and-drop capability even more intuitive and useful for you. Allow us to introduce the Dynamic Block Creator.

Inspirations and Themes

BoldGrid offers ‘Inspirations’ for you when you begin building your WordPress website. Inspirations, organized into categories based on various industries, provide a starting point for building your site. These responsively designed themes allow you to simply insert and modify your content. Easy, right? But, until recently, this was the only way to generate Blocks. Not such a problem for people building a site from scratch, but users who wanted to implement BoldGrid on an existing site couldn’t get the full benefit of this incredible plugin. Not anymore. Now, with the Dynamic Block Creator, you can generate Blocks without going through Inspirations. With the Dynamic Block Creator, you can create more personalized Blocks, customizing things like color and typography. To make these customizations, click the portion of the Block you would like to change. If you’re editing a font for example, click within a text box on your Block to see the BoldGrid Post and Page Builder change at the top, showing the Font button. When you click the Font button, the Text Setting box pops up as you see on the right in the image above. From there, you can make changes to the font such as size, color and effect. BoldGrid will automatically process your changes via proprietary algorithms to ensure that your text remains legible and the color contrast works. This process works even if your site uses a theme not supported by the BoldGrid Framework. The Dynamic Block Creator now generates color palettes for any theme, whether part of the BoldGrid Framework or not.

New Possibilities with Blocks

So why do we call it a “Dynamic Block Creator” now? Experienced BoldGrid users might have noticed that older versions of BoldGrid limited pages to a mere 9 to 20 Blocks. The newest release of BoldGrid now generates a nearly infinite number of possible Blocks and they are all responsive. Moreover, you can now filter Blocks by category, making finding the right one for your page quicker and easier than ever. Now, that’s what we call “dynamic!” Further updates to Blocks include the capability to delete Blocks while arranging them, and background effects like parallax. You have more new design elements to build eye-catching sites with, such as background transparencies, icons, and images. And, speaking of images, BoldGrid now uses free, randomly selected images that update on a daily basis. That means you will have a constant stream of new, free images to choose from, not just a handful of the same, overused pictures. When selected, BoldGrid installs and places these images dynamically into your WordPress theme. Design Improvements

You may notice some design elements change from one Block to another. Buttons may change in shape, text size, case type, or color. Icons will change in shape and color. Unordered lists now have a wider array of bullet options. Depending on the images you have selected from BoldGrid, the borders and shapes might take on different styles. We have overhauled the text, font size, color, and phrases used for headings. We also improved backgrounds, including adding effects like parallax, fixed, and scroll, added options for transparencies, and allow you to use an image or a flat color. Speaking of colors, BoldGrid even helps you design by suggesting 1-3 colors from the palette (out of 3-6 colors) that it automatically applies to the foreground and background elements. Our team of designers have tested all of these improvements to BoldGrid to ensure that they just work, without hassle, every time. That helps you stay focused on the big picture, not get bogged down in figuring out all of the details.
